What a fantastic year at CMEE 2025! Our AV-CANADA team worked hard and our virtual pinball game was a success. With aa custom LED wall and special booth design, custom round panels, interactive display cubes and charging stations, we created an interactive gaming arena with three game views. We were able to engage over 600 fellow #eventprofs to come play to donate!
For each play, we donated $5 to Second Harvest, for a total of $3,000! Second Harvest is a key organization working to reduce food wastage, promote food redistribution, lower our carbon footprint and provide meals within our communities. Thank you to everyone who supported our fundraising program as these $3,000 will provide 9,090 meals to those in need! This equals to 3 meals a day for a family of 4, for over 2 years. Also, as a result this will help avert 30,773 lbs of GHGs from the atmosphere.
We are humbled to partner with such a strong organization and to be able to give back to communities across Canada. The awareness we hoped to spread for reducing food wastage from events was multiplied by the fellow event professionals who reposted our content and supported our efforts! Together, we can drive a positive change and give back.
To thank all players, we gave away prizes for the top three scores including a Dyson hairdryer, a $250 Amazon gift card and a $100 Amazon gift card. We also invited visitors to sign up for our Racing Contest, for a chance to win a $500 VISA gift card. This contest promotes our sponsorship of the racing team at VPX Motorsport for both AV-CANADA and our sister company AV-AMERICA. The sponsorship highlights the synergies between a racing team and event team which include goal-oriented team work, specialized roles, problem solving, communication and collaboration and attention to detail.
As we wrap up another year and start planning for CMEE 2026, we are truly touched by the support of our industry. We are also excited to support Second Harvest in the future and continue to spread awareness for positive changes to support events and local communities. See you next year!
