We are pleased to support the 2021 Spring Into Action With Santa Run, organized by the Breakfast With Santa Foundation. This was the first annual run/walk and the support is extended across multiple communities to provide breakfast initiatives not only on Christmas but throughout the year. The foundation supports children and families through providing healthy meals to local food banks and providing backpacks, school supplies, clothing, winter coats, and Christmas hampers.
AV-CANADA is proud of our team for participating in the challenge, and we want to send a big thank you to Danny Dobriansky, Martin Stanfield, Adam Benedik and Tammy Bradley. Also, we want to thank all our contributors from within AV-CANADA and our partners, vendors and clients.
We placed 10th for the total team distance walked at 345 km. Martin walked the most at 150 km. The AV-CANADA team was happy to raise the highest amount of money for this great cause and Adam Benedik was able to raise the largest part of this amount. Altogether, we raised over $2000 but the impact we made to our communities is much larger. We appreciate the chance to participate and sponsor such a great cause, and it helps us add more to our community and better ourselves!
We ran into some funny incidents along the way, such as Tammy forgetting to carry her work phone which had the App tracker in it. We teased her for being lazy, but she walked much more than we will ever know. As a team, we have learned that during these tough times and the pandemic, it is important to get fresh air and clear your mind. Not only is exercise needed, but it is a way to connect with our community even with a simple hello to a passing neighbour. These small moments and gestures have the greatest impact on our happiness, and the lives of others.
